You will never see our pruners top a tree that is not a fruit tree or a nut tree. To top a tree is one of the worst and long-lasting things you can do to any tree. It causes damage to the hormonal balance of the tree that is irreparable. There are several rules an excellent pruner must follow to keep a tree healthy; violating any one of these rules can cause the tree to be susceptible to disease and pathogenic invasion. After these rules are adhered to, pruning is truly an 'art form'. In order to make a tree look great after pruning you must understand the pathology of a tree as well as the principles of balance. Our pruners are experts at sculpting trees. OVER 50 PERCENT OF OUR PRUNING WORK COMES FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS SEEING A JOB WE HAVE DONE OR PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION. Trees should be pruned every 3 to 4 years to maintain their proper balance and health.
